Hello BeoWorld!
I have a following equipment:
LG OLED77G1
BeoLab 18 & 19
Palatial BOP LCR66 - front
Celestial BOC86 - surround
Celestial BOC62 - 2nd zone
How would you connect all of this? AV receiver, BeoSystem, …?
You have many options! A recommendation would depend on your answer to these three questions:
1) Which remote do you want to use? The LG remote or BeoRemote One or Beo4/5/6?
2) If you want to stream music, do you want the LG to remain off or can you live with the screen coming on and using the LG as your AP2/CC/whatever endpoint?
3) How do you want to use your second zone?
1. I like the design of BeoRemote One very much. What I know about it is that it can replace all the remotes for AV system, but I don't have much experience with it. And I can live with LG.
2. Better if it’s off. Also I like Sonos app for iPhone for streaming services.
3. Second zone is for music in dining most of the time.
I find it hard to give any advices for this without knowing more about your wishes/requirements.
I you are thinking about sound from the LG TV, your problem is that you have no ‘AV receiver’ with the described setup!
I assume that you want that, since you describe the speakers as the channels of a ‘surround setup’.
(What did you do before the LG TV, and how were the 18/19 used previously)?
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Everything is new here, bl 18/19 wasn’t used before.
I had a recommendation to buy Onkyo TX-RZ740, but there’s no supply in my region for a long time. Also Marantz SR5015, but there’s problem with connecting xbox x. And BeoRemote One is a good idea.
Any ideas?
🙏🏻
Okay, here is a suggestion. I'm not sure where you are located and if you can source the components:
- Almando Multiplay Surround Switch with Wisa. This is both a surround decoder and an AirPlay 2 or ChromeCast endpoint. Connect the BL18 and BL19 via Wisa and the Palatial + Celestial via an amp (e.g. BeoLink Passive or BeoAmp 2). If you want Sonos, you can add a Sonos Port.
- Drive your second zone through an amp of your choice and add a Airport Express if you want AP2, CC Audio if you need CC or a Sonos Port.
