Hope someone can help.
I had disconnected my Kaleidescape to have it repaired - when I reconnected it and set up it up again with PUC it would not turn on - so I had to go to source list on TV and activate from there , once I had it selected I could control with remote.
Would anyone have an idea as to why it wont activate from remote (Beoremote One)
I don’t have any idea why - but it it was me, I would have tried setting it up again from scratch.
Not sure if that is what you meant?
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thank you, did try setting it up again but still not working -
Maybe there were some updates for the Kaleidescape, that brought some changes?
There are still some B&O dealers, who know (and maybe still use) that system.Have you looked, if there is a new/er PUC entry for the system as the one, that you have used untill now?
No did not check for updates - , will have a look.
Thank You.

Welcome to Beoworld!
Kaleidescape starts up when selecting it by source list of your BS4 - so PUC works.
Kaleidescape can be controled by BR1 using all commands except video source - so PUC works.
Kaleidescape can`t be activated be BR1 through BS4 PUC (selecting video source)
For me it looks like an unmatch between video source in the BS4 and source in the BR1.
Result is, you can`t activate the video source, because of a mismatch, but you can control the source, when it`s activated.
IF you have chosen V.MEM (or whatever video source) for Kaleidescape in the BS4 it must be also V.MEM (or whatever...) in the Beoremote One.
I`d check that.
Hope this helps

That sounds like a good hint - thanks, Stefan.
Hi Stefan
Thank you - I will check that , sounds like that could be the problem.
Hi Stefan & Millemissen,
Just to say a big thank you for help and advice -
I could not figure out how to check the matched sources - but you were right , I also had a DVD which was not in use so connected Kaleidescape to the HDMI out used by DVD , changed the name on BR 1 and now able to select and activate Kscape from BR 1.
Again many thanks for help.
Hi Millemissen & Stefan
Glad to hear (read) that it works well now - it was not really that difficult to find out where the problem is, as you gave us the necessary information...
So thanks for that and for the feedback - have fun with your setup!
