Hi guys

Im currently running a 5.1.2 Atmos setup using the Olympica I as FR/FL/C channel and definitive technology rear and ceiling speakers. I’ll be moving to my new place in 3 months and the place will be much smaller. 3m x 4m (10ft x 13ft) Hence I was considering on selling the whole setup for just a Beolab 18 + Sub.

My background is 70% movies 30% music.

1. How would you compare the Beolab 18 with a pair of bookshelf speakers ?  Just purely 2 channel setup ?

2. Do you think I would regret giving up a full Atmos setup for just a 2.1 setup ? Will I feel much difference in a small space ?

thank you all for your replies !

In your other thread the BS Stage was concidered…..did you ditch that idea?

IMO the BS Stage would be a better solution for you/your relatively small room…..for reasons already mentioned there.

Yeah I decided to drop the beostage idea as I still prefer proper left right speakers for aesthetic purposes and future upgradability.

I would keep the sonus fabers, its a fabulous sounding monitor loudspeaker.

The beolab 18 need space too.

Maybe some room threadments
