The website is not up yet but it's a trunk with the 400C and a Balance in it.

I can't post the photos but this is the blurb

The Bang & Olufsen Orient Express Edition is a one off design crafted in collaboration with the most famous train journey in the world, featuring Beogram 4000c turntable and Beosound Level.

I can only assume that the email is the first time the accountants have seen it!! If they're that desperate to waste money I will happily volunteer to dispose of it on their behalf.

Ban boring signatures!

The Level has a user replaceable battery and a replaceable audio processor. A replaceable grill too. I think that should do the job, unless they never do their job of making replacement audio processors available for a long time.

Seriously doubt that this kind of marketing is going to sell more products... Come on B&O.. you can do better with the current rage of products! Fantastic speakers, excellent TV line up, good portable products... and you come up with an Orient Express case which you can't use without a dedicated powerline because the BeoGram needs juice...

If that's your only problem retaining you of buying one, I'm sure they'll be happy to add a big battery in the case, there is plenty of room available. Big Smile

We (me and SHMBO) just loves it! But it’s of course way out of budget and practical use for us.

Shouldn’t it need some transportation fastening inside the Beogram (a bolt or something)? Not for the train journey, but more the flight and taxi before and after. But I guess your servants takes cares of it. Stick out tongue

I see it more like an "exercice de style". Many brands have similar stuff: Jaeger Lecoultre, Nespresso...
I can't see it safely working (like the XO bottles in front of the records, the candles near the deck or even the lid flapping against the top trunk.

But it's a great inspiration to integrate both items (beogram and beosound) in a smaller cabinet not to be moved around.

Reminds me of Harry Enfield’s ‘Loadsa Money’ from the late 1980s.

C'mon guys, it's just a concept, not even a "limited edition"…

It's made to dream (and it makes me dream) whatever unrealistic and ridiculous it is…

Honestly, is this worst than 95 beograms 4002, misnamed, priced 10000€, that happened to be real ?

It's just fine.

Not for me but not shocking.

Don't you remember the Pinel & Pinel trunk designed for Bang & Olufsen TV and sound system ?
