Hello everyone!

After hours of ready just about every peice of information I could find, I still have no luck solving my problem.

I recently bought a Beo4 Remote off eBay to work my beolab 5s. Unfortunately, it seems I bought the media remote, or somekind of hotel remote. This remote does not have the list button, but I could still access the setup menu. I could scroll through it, but if I try to click on config, nothing happens. Just blinks once and config stays on the little screen. I attached a picture of the remote hoping somebody here could point me in the right direction. Unfortunately being on a phone the photo won't upload properly, so this google drive link is the best I could do.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

That definitely is a hotel version of a Beo4.

If it was not described as such by the seller, you should send it back and claim your money back………unless you want to keep it as a souvenir ;-)

You need a regular version - there are several different regular versions out there, but they all should do the job…..once you have configured the BL5’s.

Was really hoping that wasen't the case. Only my luck lol, remote lost in moving, been looking for months. Would the new BeoOne remote work? I'd obviously much rather pull off a miracle and get this one working. Just need them to turn on. Been trying to replicate the signal with iR on a phone, no luck.

EDIT - Forgot to mention I've been on the phone with B&O. No idea if they'll be of any use, but if they are I'll update here for anyone else that lands in my situation.

What are the 5’s connected to and how?

A Beoremote One would work, but it will be easier with the Beo4…..and much cheaper.

There are lots of preused Beo4’s on the market - where are you located?
