Since the latest beta version of the Bang & Olufsen app is out, the stereo pairing of e.g. 2 BS Emerge/s should be possible.

(I assume that a firmware update for the given devices also is needed).

Noone here with 2/a pair of these Beosounds to try this out?

Would be interesting to know, if this really is the B&O pairing (speaker link) or just the already known chromecast-thingy.

P.S. If anyone knows what ‘PHC grouping on source’ means, please elaborate on this.

Also see this post from Khimo….it seems that things are indeed moving forward with the Mozart devices.

Good point MM

Would be also interesting to know how this is different to the stereo pairing that you could do on two A1 without the app.  There was an instructional video from B&O on how to do this.

So is speaker link a new thing or just a name for the stereo pairing that has been around for a while?

Yes I did notice the new System added to my BLI Pro the other day Yes - thumbs up

Initial help in BLI:

This driver adds integration with the new B&O ControlLink AV products. All the products are displayed as BeoLiving Intelligence AV RENDERER resources.

They are automatically discover on the network and can be added to Zones either using the iOS app or in the Resource tab of the web Setup page.

Just learned that this mean Product Health Centre. Probably some additional functionality regarding that.

Regarding the pairing, I also learned that the firmware update enabling the pairing in the devices (Balance, Emerge etc) is a bit delayed.

Thanks Hiort - so it seems that the (beta) app is a bit ahead of the actual sw version of the devices.

Software is being released now, lots already have it. Make sure both the app and products are updated.

Hope this helps.

I have to say, Emerge, Level and Balance all sound lovely in stereo. The B&O pairing is easier to set up than the Chromecast one and so far has worked flawlessly all day.

A welcome update in my opinion.

All the best, John

If anyone knows: is this happening "natively" in the Mozart device, or is it driven by a mobile phone? Anything where Beoremote Halo can add value too?

This native and available for all sources (B&O Radio, Bluetooth, CC, AP2. Maybe even line in?). It is the same software that also keeps the BeoLab 28’s connected to each other.

Stereo pairing can’t be switched on and off as if they were different speaker groups, so no added value for the Halo in that sense. But Halo can control all Mozart speakers I believe (in mono and stereo).

Can someone please confirm whether it works with line-in, and with no additional delay (compared to the delay of line-in when used with a single speaker) ?
