Essence Remote: Everything but the wheel works. Any help?

Hi,

 

one of my Essence remotes doesn't work any more. Only the buttons work and I can switch the modes (infrared, bluetooth) but the volume wheel doesn't work any more.


Did somebody experience the same behaviour? Installed new batteries of course. ;-)

Yep, ball bearings inside seem to break and it stops turning. I threw mine out after a while as I couldn't fix it.
