Does anyone know where I can buy several two-pin ( male) connectors to plug into the 75 Ohm Aerial sockets of my 3000/4000 units.? I know that sticking a piece of wire into the socket works but it's not very attractive!

Martin, You have given me a link to a normal co-axial plug similar to those used in TV aerial connections. This is not what I am looking for.

I am looking for a TWO PIN flat plug that has two screw terminals at the rear  to connect to the aerial wire.

To explain further, the B&O 'Bunny Ears' plug-in FM aerial was fitted with such a plug when supplied by B&O. I have such an aerial so know that this is the case.

Did you check my link?

Or was this wrong, too....

I was thinking of this.

The adapters on ebay work for Beomaster 5000 (Tuner), Beomaster 3000, Beomaster 4400 etc...

That type of plug is actually a 240-300 Ohm impedance plug.
I have no idea why B&O used it for 75 Ohm.
Anyway, they are incredibly difficult to find. Last used one I saw on Ebay went for over 20 euros.
Type D in this photo (E and F are 75 Ohm male and female).

The adapter, Ralf links to, can be used for conversion or even better, cut the cable and use only the plug.
If you have a coax cable, it will be 75 Ohms anyways.
240-300 Ohm antenna cable is hardly ever used anymore.

You only need one antenna plug for each Beomaster.

Hi Dillen

I've recently been handed down a Bombaster 3000. I have the power cable only but am wanting to check the tuner works. From the plugs above mine seems to need D for either 240 or 75 ohm. Would you happen to know where I might be able to buy or get a cable + aerial made such that I could check my unit works? With thanks. CB

A plug and two leads, each apprx. 75cm length pulled out to opposite directions (dipole antenna) will be fine for a start.
The type of lead is not critical.
Later you can fit a more decent antenna and reuse the plug.

I can supply the 240/300 Ohm IEC 45316 plug (Type D in the above photo).
PM or email me
