Hello all!

Since i'm moving into an apartment where i don't want to hang my beovision 11 on the wall i'm considering upgrading the BL12-3 to a pair of beolab 5's..

Although the upgrade is great! The BL5's are a bit expensive, therefore i'm considering buying a demo pair from a store.
My question is; Is there something i should note before buying? And how would i know what version i get, and is there any difference?

Also, how are the 5's in smaller livingrooms? My new livingroom is going to be 28m2, is it a bad idea to get a pair of 5's in a room like that? I'm not looking for massive bass, i just want clear music.. But then again, i don't want to have a sub either Smile

Hope someone can help Smile

Please, if you have anything to say about the 5's please do! Also are the 5's outdated? If i buy them, i should at least keep them for 5 years, otherwise the price don't make sense for me Smile

Oh forgot to mention!
I want to use the BL5's in "two systems"

1. To run as surround with my Beovision 11-46 with powerlink

2. Stereo, either Sonos or CD-player with SPDIF

And i only want to use one remote, Beo4 or Beo6

Is this possible? I know i can use my ATV to streaming, but i want sonos because i don't want to turn on the tv every time Smile

You don't have to turn on the tv every time.

Send an av -- source command and you'll have sound but no picture

Firstly... DOES the BV11 carry SOURCE DATA?

If not, you can forget your planned setup.

My guess is that the BV11 isn't carrying source data.

Too long to list....

I'm sure someone here will know if it has. The BV10 does not have it.

Source data is information distributed from the BV11 to the BL5's to inform them what source is playing, as they'll only listen to the SPDIF input once "CD" is selected as source.

Too long to list....
