Hi Everyone,

This is my first post and I hope someone will be able to help me. I picked up a very nice 7002 BeoCenter back in January and it was in extremely good cosmetic condition and everything on it worked except the cassette deck. So last week I decided to open it up and put new belts on it and change the power cord which was the european style. Anyway the belts came in today so I installed them but when I turned the unit on it immediately shut down and I have no idea why. I do have it plugged in to a variac and dim bulb tester while I was testing it. Any ideas on what to check? I've wiggled all the wires that are in the general area of the cassette unit. I did back the variac to 65 volts and the cassette would run at a slow pulsating motion. Anyway I hope some one might have some ideas on what might of happened.

Thanks,

racfan9

Just a quick follow up on the 7002 issue. It turned out the unit didn't like the dim bulb tester, once disconnected it I lower the voltage on my variac down to 60v just in case there was an issue, but even at 60 volts the unit came to life. But now I have a new issue, I'm not getting any sound through the right channel and I've checked all the immediate connectors to no avail. Any suggestions on this current issue?
