Hi guys,
I've a Beomaster 901 replacing the 1001 (ambio) that need recap. So it sits where 4 speakers lines are available. Unfortunately this 901 has only 2 speaker sockets. I've seen many 901 with 4 sockets and I wonder if there is a respectfull and clean mod to add a pair of speakers more or if they're two different beast inside.
Speakers are all 4 ohms so i beleive I can not just parallel two of them, right?
Thanks.
Beomaster 901 was produced in two versions. One has two sockets, the other has four with the pairs simply paralleled inside.

Thanks Martin,
Does it mean I can "Y" them even with 2x4 ohms?
(Dont know if this is relevant but i never listen too loud)
Yes, you should be able to do that.
Out of curiosity: I've always thought you can't go too much below a given impedance for an amplifier. Usually 8 or 4 ohms.If I remember well, 2x4 ohms in parallel should give 2 ohms.
Is this because old amplifiers have more "tolerance" than recent ones or is it related to my comment on not listening loud?
Ehh.. partly. And it has series output capacitors to take care of many DC problems (and perhaps even shorts at low volume). But there are no differences between the Beomaster 901 versions with 2 and 4 speaker sockets (apart from that), so it's safe tosay you can connect four speakers to either version.
