Hi Members,
I recently purchased a Beomaster 5000 with a 5005 beogram and looking to match with vintage and/or period speakers.
I am opting for the beovox as I would rather have the shelf and/or floor option, additionally looking for the wood effect.
At the moment i am reviewing the Beovox S40 but not sure if the speakers would be powerful enough.

S45.2 or S60's.
I rate the S45.2 as one of the best speakers B&O has ever made, pound for pound (Euro for Euro, Dollar for Dollar etc).
I also know people who rate the RedLine range very highly, including our own Steve at Sounds Heavenly. Personally, they don't do much for me.

I'm not an expert and certainly not golden ears but,
I'm currently running an hybrid Beosystem 5X00: Beomaster and Beogram 5500, Beocord 5000 and Beogram CD50.I hooked up S45-2 and I must say it's an amazing sound to me.
Aesthetically they dont fit much and I'm looking forward to have my BM1001 back, but sound wise I'm not frustrated.
So as Lee said…
