Hi...

I have a Beomaster 3000 (2402) in absolute mint condition. I'm thinking about getting it recapped / adjustet / cleaned professionally.

Before comitting to that, I made a couple of searches and saw, that the 3000-2 model - by far - is the most restored unit of the two.

Does anybody know, why this is? Confused

"Legend" has it, that there were a few minor upgrades from 3000 to 3000-2, but it says everywhere, that it was not anything significant.

But is the 3000-2 a better unit and should I look for a that one instead?

Labor costs and parts will be the same and I can probably source a 3000-2 unit for about 50€ locally here in Denmark - but it will most likely not be in the same mint condition as my 3000.

Thanks,
Jesper…

The differences are indeed minor,
On some spec sheets the Beomaster 3000-2 was given a bit more power output, but the circuits are pretty much identical, so perhaps that's merely a matter of measuring conditions (or just a typo).

I can tell no audible differences between Beomaster 3000 and 3000-2.
