MX7000 showing only black and white image using s-video or composite

Hi all,

I have a breadbin commodore 64 which is i suppose Pal (but the behavior is identical on my Panasonic 3DO, a NTSC video game console). 

I use a new cables, both s-video and composite connections. 

Using both connections on my modern lcd TV everything is fine, if I try both on my Bang & Olufsen Mx7000 I only get a black and white image. 

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

. I have to dive in the schematic to be precise ,cant do that right now.

could be a fault on the pal decoder board. There is an IC that decodes the color, two purple trimpots or trim caps next to it. Its associated filter capacitor may have gone bad. Replace the cap, fixed the black and white problem on my old mx.

let me know if it works and if you can find it. I can dive in the schematics later.
