Contemplating set-up: Beolab 5, Besound 3000MKII, Beogram, Beosound Moment, Sonos Port - how to do it?

Hello folks and gurus: I was planning to create a set-up out of second-life B&O gear, namely a pair of used Beolab 5s (which I always wanted), some old-school B&O sources (likely a Besound 3000 and a Beogram 4002 or something similar), and possibly a Moment. But I would also like to hook up a Sonos Port to integrate the system with the Sonos world (rather than using a Core), of course being aware that the port is not a high-end DAC. My idea was to bypass the B&O app and rather use Sonos for all things streaming, while maintaining nice CD and LP sources from B&O.

Having read all the threads about the digital wiring of the Beolab 5, the problem with the 12V trigger of the port, etc, I‘m wondering how to best execute that set-up re wiring to benefit from the fully digital connection, and still keep it all simple.

Unless I‘d use the Beosound 9000 with the digital out, I guess I would connect the B&O sources via PL; could I then still hook up the port digitally? Probably not…

Any input highly appreciated!

Best, Lutz

Hi

You may perhaps connect the Beogram to the Aux-in of the BS3000, connect the BS3000 Aux-out to the line-in of the Sonos port, connect the digital-out of the Sonos port to the BL5.

Set the BL5 to mode 1 (if I remember well…) and start/stop/set the BL5 each time with a Beo4.

Correct me if this does not work of course
