I cannot get any sound out of the system when using the Phono. I've fitted a new MMC4 cartridge to no avail.
I inspected the mechanism from below, there seem to be 4 wires (tiny) which are soldered to a connector block which in turn I assume connects to the the amplifier. Has anyone any suggestions as to what might be wrong?

If the other sources (Tape/Radio) play normally, check the supply to the RIAA circuit.Let us know the DC voltage readings on each of the three pins of 17TR8 with reference to ground.
