I’ve just bought a pair of M70s and their trumpet stands have been painted black (don’t think they ever originally came in black?)

Does anyone know the nearest paint a professional body shop could get hold of to get as close as possible to the original brushed aluminum finish?

Cheers

Hi Nigel,

They are not painted: they are anodized brushed aluminum.

Hi Jacques

I suspect the original finish might be “lost” on this pair, although I will try removing the black paint to see if it’s recoverable.
I was just wondering if they weren’t recoverable, what paint I might use to get as close to original as possible. I do realize brushed aluminum is nothing like a painted surface.

Cheers
