Evening all,

Just trying to get the Beosound 9000 line out working again. Line in works well.

Wondering if there a reason why it could have stopped?

I have used line out from the Beosound 9000 before to record vinyl, CD's and radio. All albeit prior to the BLC NL/ML and the TV’s changing to NL versions. I am not sure these additions have stopped line out operating but throught they are worth mentioning.

The Beosound 9000 is in the same room as a Avant NG. So CD functions work thru the NL/ML converter. Again not sure it’s relevant.

I have a Teac T-1200 Cassette recorder connected to the Beosound 9000 line out. It records silence now, instead of Radio, CD or Vinyl.

Any idea's or thoughts here?...

Thanks, Beoaus.

Perhaps if I ask?

What would cause “line out” on a Beosound 9000 not to work? Any ideas?

I can no longer record radio, cd’s etc.

Thanks in hope. Beoaus

To close this off.

I had a B&O tech come by. Fortunately the plastered in section of the AUX cable was ok. Further along the Aux cable was "burnt". Burnt is where robust cable like CAT6 is rubbed over other cables, mostly during an install. Seems the electrician installing data cables a couple of years ago could have been more careful. Once the line out pair was fixed its all good.

Cheers, Beoaus.

What an obscure issue. Thank goodness you found it.

It’s a handy reminder to us all to perform not just positive but also regression testing when we make changes to our systems. And to be careful when pulling cables…
