Greetings all, its been a while but random issue has arisen this afternoon when I used my system.
BS3 Mk3 Type
BV12-65
Beo4 1710 as well as older 16xx models
Turn on system like normal, the BS3 and BV12-65 came up like normal everything seemed fine, but then the system just shut down unexpectedly.
Turned it back on and was prompted for my Pin Code, which I haven't used in years since I first setup the system. Went to go look for it and by the time I got back the system was off again.
Turned it back on but it came up, and no prompt for the pin code. Though that was odd, but ok settle in and started watching then after a few minutes the system just power down and switch off.
This is now all it does, I can turn the system on by pressing TV or DVD, it comes on like normal and stays on for a few minutes and then just shuts off like someone pressed the Power OFF button on the remote.
When on the system will not respond to any other buttons on the Beo4, except the TV or DVD to turn on and the Power Off button.
Can't even pull up the Customer Service Menu by pressing Menu, or even the service menu via 0 0 Go
I have even left the BS3 disconnect for the mains for a while yet when I plugged the mains back in and powered it on same results, it didn't even prompt for a pin code which I thought it would if disconnect from mains for more then 30mins.
Any suggests or am I looking at a Service Call at this point.

i have experienced excatly the same. Problem was i had an Audio maste connected to my system that also required a pin code.
if you have an audio master...try start it and check if it wants a pincode. I guess if you have another video product connected to ML requiering a pincode it can also. cause similar problem.
