I am unable to switch on the 9000 using the control panel button or remote. The unit shows a red standby light but does not light up as expected until I repower the unit.
Masterlink issues can often be solved by unplugging every connected unit / ML Speaker (including the active box in the wall cavity and the passive amp in ensuite.) from the mains. Plug BS9000 back in first then the other units.
Failing that, it might be the cut and rejoin is not pefect!
Stoobie
Stoobie - this seemed to work - but an hour or two later, all was just the same.Repowering the 9000 appears to make everything right again, but it's only temporary. Thank you just the same.
SharpEars: The symptoms of the issue are as follows: I am unable to switch on the 9000 using the control panel button or remote. The unit shows a red standby light but does not light up as expected until I repower the unit.
Usually you have no Beolabs connected to the BS9000, when there is a videomaster/Beovision. So the BS9000 resets automatically to A.OPT 0, which means, you can`control your BS9000 via Beoremote. So here you have a rare setup (you can use a Powerlink Dummy plug anyway...). But next step I'd check is, disconnect the whole system the mains again, disconnect the ML plug from the BL2000 and start the whole system (without BL2000).
Question: How did you rejoin the Masterlink cable for the BL2000? Solder or junction box?
Hope this helps
Stefan
Stefan:• all the joins on the system are with junction boxes.• removing the BL2000 from the network changed nothing unfortunately.• I did however notice something new - the ML male for the BL2000 join might be dodgy. It came with the cable which I purchased second hand, so I should check that next I think.Thank you for your input.
