How do you update the R1?
Karel
For me that bogus update process didn’t go so well last evening.
I have BS Core+TR1+BL18+BL19 2.1 setup.
First time I tried, it updated the TR1 and only one BL18. The other BL18 and the 19 were left with previous software. I tried multiple times unplugging the mains for 60s like the manual says with no luck. Still the remaining speakers were left without any update.
In the end I’ve managed to update the rest of the speakers one by one this way:
1. Unplug all speakers and TR1 from the mains
2. Plug only one speaker that you want to updated to the mains
3. Wait for the speaker power led to shut off
4. Plug the TR1 to the mains
5. It will start updating that speaker
6. After update is complete TR1 will show orange because it cannot find the others speakers (they are unplugged from the mains)
7. Unplug the speaker and TR1 from the mains and start from step 1 with another speaker that was left without updating.
At all steps keep the software usb stick plugged into TR1.At the end I did a full reset and repairing the speakers to TR1.
My TR1 is older (I think 2015/16) but the speakers are new (2020 BL18 and 2021 for BL19).
I haven’t had any issues before but for a 10k€ system this update process should be smoother.

mbolo01: kuyttendaele: How do you update the R1? Nothing special, they are updated during the same process than for the BL18/19

But how? The R1 is configured in my BV14... there's no setting in the BV14 on updating the R1.
Karel.

You need a TR1 to update the other devices, I'm not aware of any other mean.

Thanks for this step-by-step overview @pig30n.
Dumb question: If you do a full reset, won't that revert the speakers and Transmitter to factory settings with the older firmware version? Or are you saying you can do a reset while still maintaining the recent firmware update?
