I have all of my media-stuff controlled by Logitech Harmony (Elite, hub + blasters) and everything is working great. Beosound 9000 also works after quite some work with re-assigning a lot of buttons.
When adding a device as manufacturer "Bang & Olufsen" and device as "Beosound 9000" the device is added as "Bang & Olufsen Mini System". This in it self is not an big issue, naming and buttons can be re-arranged.
Now, the issue.
Using Beo4 number buttons in CD-mode pressing "4" starts to play CD 4, this works fine on Harmony. To change the track number with Beo4 we need to press "List" to change Beo4 to "Track"-mode and then use the number-buttons. This works fine with Beo4 but I cannot replicate this to Harmony. Any ideas?
I found out that when I press "List" on Beo4 it transmits an IR-signal, I then copied this to Harmony and tried using Harmony as "First press Track then press a number" but this does not work.
Yes, Beo4 is beautiful, so is some of the 6-7 other remotes I have stuffed away, whole apartments, including lights, can be controlled with Harmony and really would like to get my "new" 9000 to do that too.
Any advice or experiences?
My experience with the Harmony indicates that it is not possible for it to receive any B&O IR frequency commands, although it has been pre-programmed to emit them. So what buttons they have set up are what buttons you have available to you, the end. I am currently playing with a Harmony Link and a Beosystem 7000, not a Harmony Hub and Beosound 9000, but my "B&O Mini-system" list of commands in the old Harmony app does have a "List" button (alphabetically, between "Green" and "Menu"!) and also a "Select" button, which you might try. Mine does not show a "GoTo" button, though if yours does, that's something to try also. Anyone else have any hints, or can prove me wrong about sending B&O IR to the Harmony to set it up? Sooner or later my BeoLink will die and I'll need this too...
