Hi Beoworlders,

Has anyone managed to upgrade their Beolab8000's (MK1) with the ICE modules from the later models (>2010)?  Is this even possible?

Is there more to it than the replacement of the ABL PCB?

Thanks

This is a very intriguing enqury.

I'm not able to help, since my set is running the stock AMP section, but this catched my attention.

I'll stay tuned to see what comes out, but a thumb up for your post.

I do not know why you would do this? If you have Beolab 8000 mk1 per ABL, which in my opinion is the best sounding one. Let them as they are.

The very First ones where three way ( 2 and a half was) speakers. All later Ones are two way.

everything is possible, but 8000 really gone cheap, so ic you really want later ones, sell yours and buy later ones.

Thanks for the advise Schletti82. However, that didn't really answer my question? I will need to refurbish my speakers soon, so wanted to understand what is possible.

I try to do that with BL7.2 amps...but it is not the same...so it is better to refurbish old one
