Hello
I plan to buy a v1 40 from 2012 for a guest room. Some people seem to have problem with overheating in 2020.
Could you please tell me after 8 years you are still enjoying yours ?
Thanks

Indeed I enjoy mine/a 32”.
Not my main tv - but used for regular tv/news, a lot of YT wieving (don’t need a big screen for that mostly), radio and music listening….full 5.1 setup.
A tv that I would miss, if it was not there.
And…..I’d probably buy another one as replacement, if it had to go.
The problem, that I have heard of, is a leaking battery - mine did not suffer (yet).
If you buy one, see to that it is fully working and have that battery replaced.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi MM
Thanks for your answer. I don't know there was a battery inside, what is its function ?
I am technical not that much into this (other forum members probably are).
From what I know it is some kind of backup batteri, that in some cases may leak and cause damage to the mainboard (which is rather expensive to replace, if possible).
And I don’t know of any specific event, that may cause this - if at all.
Every good B&O seller here (in Denmark) will replace this battery, before selling.
May it be because he will have to sell it with a warranty or just to be sure.
And I can’t say how many V1’s are infected - maybe not many??
Anyway, if I were to buy a V1, it would be something, that I would be concerned about.
In the end - buying from private will always include a risk - these tv’s are old now/could be almost 9 years old.
As I wrote….I still love and use my V1.
Hi, similar to MM here in that not only do I love and enjoy my V1-32 but if it packed in I would definitely seek to replace it with the same set if there was still one available. It’s a fantastic tv and I love the design of it. In my house, it is my kitchen tv but I do still have it on most days as I spend a lot of time in my kitchen. I have had it since 2016 and it works beautifully and perfectly every time and I’ve never experience an issue. Hope this helps. A fantastic tv with a great picture too I think. Cheers, Simon.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
Thanks all for your answer.
I hesitate between a bv 11 46 or v1 40.
Hi
thanks for your answer. It doesn't need to be luxury. It is not for my main room.
The issue with bv is that when you need to move them, it is quite heavy and you cannot do it in a hurry.
I have bought one v1. I will test it and I will see if it suits my requirements.
