Hi I thought this might be of interest. I bought a learning remote from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0751N9BW2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have successfully cloned my BeoCenter 7002 remote, but it does not work with the earlier 7000 remote. Would anybody be willing to help me out by cloning their 7000 remote if I send you a blank remote? Or does anyone know of some other way of creating a remote for a 7000?
Regards, Robert (UK)
It's a great proposal since, as far as I may think, cloning this may open possibilities to more recent remote like… Say… Beo 5/6 !!!!
Dont know if it may help but I have a BC7700 with a MCP7700, if it can be of any use. Not knowing how the Two way IR will be handled : like one way -> control -> blind return or one way -> OK -> return if anyone listening!*
*Because the 7700 can be controlled two way or one way, meaning I dont know if the codes sent are the same.
I don’t think the remote cloning technique could be made to work bi-directionally. It is theoretically possible for the learning remote to capture the IR signals from the music center but the remote would not be able to do anything with them. So I think this technique can only be used one-way ie from the remote to the music centre. For sure this worked just great for my 7002 remote and has given me a backup just in case the original remote gets lost or broken. My original question still stands - do any of you guys out there on this forum have a 7000 remote? Or if anyone needs a clone of a 7002 remote I am very happy to do that!
