I just installed a pristine and fully serviced MK3 Beosound 9000 and am trying to connect it into my new B&O ecosystem with a Beolink Converter NL/ML that I bought on eBay. The 9000 is connected to the BLC via masterlink and is set to A. Opt 0, and the BLC is connected via ethernet to my network.
I've been able to add the BLC into my B&O app, but that's about it. The 9000 operates fine (though the IR is locked out), but the BLC is not functioning as intended--it doesn't seem to recognize that music is playing, and there is no app control in the B&O app, or a tab for setting app control in the web interface of the BLC. I can't join any systems to the BLC since it doesn't think any music is playing, so I have no sound.
Through the web interface of the BLC I can see it's running SW version 1.3, and SW version 1.4.3.19864 is available. However, every time I try to download the new software through the BLC web interface, it immediately says Download Failed.
Any advice for how to update the BLC software, and for which settings I should use in the BLC to get things working? I'd really love to listen to my new (old) Beosound 9000. Thanks in advance....

Control of devices through an NL/ML Converter is not very good through the B&O app. I don't see why it's so difficult for B&O to get the app to properly control the device with datalink in the app, but they haven't seemed to give it much attention.
However, if you have the converter set to Video Master and have the sources ticked on the configuration, you can easily add those sources of the 9000 to be included in the local source list of your NL products. You need to add the converter as a primary or secondary linked device to your NL device. Then, you just select the 9000 source such as CD using your beoremote on the NL device.
Thanks @beojeff. I tried this, but sadly, it still wouldn't work. I'm arranging to return the Beolink Converter and get a new one, as I really think it's an issue with this particular unit. Will report back once the new one arrives. Appreciate the advice!

Contact B&o for the update. After the update and the settings Beojeff proposed it should work.
Note: I would set the BLC as ASlave in your setup (both should work though)
Thanks so much. I've already returned the BLC but will do this with the new one if it doesn't have the latest sw installed.
Related question: Is the aux input on the BLC also distributable? Just wondering if I can ditch a Core I have for a turntable in the same room and repurpose it elsewhere.

Thanks, @carolpa. Appreciate it. Good to know. It'll help simplify things, and I have some plans for that Core elsewhere!
