Today I have been listening to complete music system of the sixties.
I have of course been listening to the individual product many times, but since I recently found the speakers of the same period I can now listen to the full system
The amplifier is the “HI FI Stereo forstærker” 608 – the speakers are “type M” and the very rare treble speakers – the turntable is a 42F with SP1/2.
It is really a surprice how fantastic the sound of this classic system is I am really surprised.
I have to mention of course all the products are full restored.

Now, of course, I want one! I guess that the speakers are very hard to come by though... there is a 41F for sale at the moment.

You are right, I think the most rare product is the two golden high tone speakers.

I was just admiring these early 1960's vintage 'Type-S' speakers on eBay the other day. The starburst clock in the background is so era-appropriate.
Type M are not so rare is it?
The tweeters however are very special! I know someone who has these as well.

Very nice indeed. And I do feel a bit of envy in that I only ever had one of the brass tweeters myself.The Type M speakers are not particularly rare (though that will probably very soon come) and giventhe right circumstances they do sound quite pleasant for their simple technique and construction.Never heard them together with the brass tweeters, though I can't imagine them to sound worse then.The Type S speakers are much rarer but since they are quite a bit larger I would imagine them to sound even better.
Actually, the Type M was either available as - or could be upgraded to - another and better Peerless system.Still two-way but with much higher quality drivers, a "real" filter network and a nice Peerless badge on the front.

I had type S speakers but didn't really like the way they sounded. Think I got about £40 on eBay for them.my 610 amp is connected to pentas and sounds great. Also the 41v deck on eBay was mine ( I sold it cheaply on a buy it now) abut the new owner has obviously decided to make a profit on it! The cartridge is shot! I didn't keep it as the 610 amp has normal din connections so it wasn't useable with it
Nice setup. Those old systems are really surprising when it comes to sound quality.
I am also enjoying my Grand Prix 610, but with Beovox S35's because my Type M's are too weak for the "powerful" 15 watt amplifier and the 4 ohm impedance is a perfect match. I heard this weekend that Type M speakers with blueish speaker cloth are very rare, because it was featured on only the first batch of them.

I own the similar set, with Minette 609K on the top of Beolab 608, next to 42F, with Type S instead of Type M but without these brass tweeters. I want them very much but they are really, really rare... Somebody who want to sell them?
But because of size of Type S I would also have the Type B (from Leslie's pics). They are bookshelf size and more suitably for using the whole set positioned "higher" in my flat (2 little children can not know how rare this equipment is :-)
Can anybody say something about sound of Type B?
I own also the small ones BV500 and BV2200, they would be also matching but because of blue covers Type B would be perfect. Do the Type B sound as good as BV2200?
