I am considering moving my Core to a bedroom with no Ethernet connection. It will only have WiFi. The Core would be wired to BL6000 with powerlink but would need to rely on WiFi to stream music from the web and any netlink BeoApp controls for track selection and volume etc. Does the Core internal WiFi module allow this functionality please?

Indeed it does - the bigger question however, is….does your WiFi setup (router etc) allows for it to work.

Sorry, what do you mean please? My Moment works only over WiFi at present. Do you I have to configure the router in a special way for the Core to work only over WiFi?

No - sorry - that is a straight forward procedure - just like with other WiFi gear.

(Some people though, like to give the devices a permanent ip-adress in the setup of the router - I never needed that).

Just use the app to set it up, when you have moved it/unplugged it.

If your wifi connection is strong and stable, there shouldn’t be any issues there.

Just give it a try!

I have my Core (2) set up via Wi-Fi and they work great. One of.my set is Core to beolab 11 to beolab 6000 and another Core to beolab 2 to beolab 8002. My routers are Google Wi-Fi and use Eclipse remotes. Works very well. My Cores are also connected via optical to my Sony OLED TV and LG projectors with Apple TV’s….I love my Cores. LOL.
