Hi all,

So I have started my Multiroom journey again.

Currently I have a Beolab 18's and a 19 connected to the TV with a Beosound Core.
The 18's replaced a pair of 17's that are now sitting downstairs connected to nothing.

So for years I pondered about adding and M5 in the two bedrooms but now I see the M5 is no longer with us.

Looking at the line up now, am I correct in saying that the Emerge (which strangely enough you can't find on the B&O website but google does) and Level both do not have Beolink Multiroom?

I guess I might do a Beosound 2 instead, but is there no multiroom products to replace the M5 or M3?

Perhaps instead of going through the ball ache of getting an Almando Surround decoder to attach 5.1 sound to the LG TV and have the 17's, 18's and 19 all on one system. Maybe I will get another Core or secondhand Essence 2 for the 17's for the main bedroom and have that as my "multiroom" speaker. Honestly the Core would be awesome if it had a WisA transmitter built in. The Transmitter 1 is just huge.

Multiroom is currently not available on the new products that use the Mozart platform. This includes the Level, Emerge, Balance and Beolab 28.

The update that enables this should however be very close, as the software is currently used by beta-testers.

Beovision Eclipse gen2 (GX) w/ floorstand, Beolab 14.2, 4 speaker Shape and ATV4/Chromecast.

Beoplay A9mk4 GVA, Beosound 1 GVA, H2, H3, H8, E6, Beoplay EQ

No. The “entry level” speaker is today Emerge. And it’s not yet (but will be through a software update) B&O multiroom capable. Only through Chromecast and Airplay today.

I hope B&O will add something similar to M3 in the lineup, at that price point.

Livingroom: BL3, BL11, BV11-46 Kitchen: Beosound 1 GVA, Beocom 2 Bathroom: M3 Homeoffice: M3, Beocom 2  Library: Beosound Emerge, Beocom 6000 Bedroom: M5, Essence remote  Travel: Beoplay E8 2.0, Beoplay EQ, Beoplay Earset

M3 --> Emerge

M5--> Level

Although each of the new products are arguably better sounding than the prior and compete upwards (maybe not the Emerge depending on who you ask...). But Level is very similar to Beosound 2 in terms of performance.

Emerge is not yet available in the US or on the US website--I don't know where you're writing from but FYI.

Multiroom for the new Mozart products is coming soon, as others have stated.

Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

Previously: BeoSound 1 non-GVA

Oh fantastic! Thanks for all the replies! Really pleased to hear that multiroom is inbound on them.
This now really makes me think about the Level a bit more.

I haven't heard them yet, so I am still biased towards the Beosound 2 as I have listened to that and it sounds fabulous.

I am writing form Sweden btw :)

BS2 is awesome. Level is also amazing, particularly for its size.

If you require portability, you have your answer. If you don't, then you can consider aesthetic design, physical size and price. And sound if you can listen to both.

Good luck! Both are awesome pieces.

Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

Previously: BeoSound 1 non-GVA
