Hi all,

which external Blurayplayer is best puc-controlled?

How are your experiences with different Blurayplayers that are Beo4(w.navi)-controlled?

I have a very good experience with the brand Oppo. And a perfect picture, solid built and a Region Free kit as option is available.

Too much problems with Samsung devices. (noise, weak built, freezing pictures, . . .)

Not "which BRP is the best?" - I go for the OPPO from that view!

The PUC control of an OPPO is a real pleasure.

I use the beo4 with the navi button, and everything is really intuitive, even the choice of a movie located on the NAS via the OPPO network capabilities.

Not any single problem with this since one year of daily use.

To make things absolutely clear to the original poster, I have the best all round puc experience with the PS3.

This is a subjective thing.

I use a Samsung blu-ray player with the PUC. However, it lacks the most important control of all: the "PAUSE" control.

I would recommend the Oppo. Control of it works perfectly. I also like the fact that you can connect it with a cable with plugs instead of an ir emitter. Responses to commands from Beo 4 are instantaneous. Much quicker than when I was using a Sony Bluray player with an ir emitter.

I use a Panasonic Blu-ray player with my BeoSystem 3. Works fine. Except it doesn't always turn off when I put my tv to standby.

I have an LG. It works pretty well, but one of the "colored" buttons is missing. This is only a problem when using the non-DVD functions. It was also trial and error to figure out which PUC setting to use. Superbly bh100? Intuitively obvious...not

The answer to the PUC question maybe could be to continue with the B&O approved set that comes from Struer.

Also to allow dealers and customers to modify the originals and maybe write our own.

As a dealer I can create new and customize existing Crestron, RTI, Control4 (to name but a few) IR drivers to control anything I like with relative ease.

With B&O Puc control ( a great feature I must add ) I would love an easy way to create custom Pucs!!

B&O , being control freaks, constantly rebuff the idea. A great shame IMHO.
