I have found this new document on the B&O support website:

https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411586315537-Which-sources-are-available-in-a-Beolink-Multiroom-setup-

It looks like the pre-Mozart speakers will also get B&O-radio Smile.

Best regards - Dyssegaard

Indeed exciting! Is there a list what products have spotifyconnect built-in? What about M3 and BS1?

If I understand the table at the link correctly, then all connected speakers should have Spotify Connect (since the latest sw update).

"Line-in and Bluetooth cannot be distributed from products with Google Assistant built-in"

I know Miki has mentioned this in recent podcasts, but seeing it in writing.....another strong reason not to have any speakers with GA built in!

Thanks D and C.

This is quite good. Seems i’ll eventually switch from deezer to spotify then.

Has someone tried whether this also allows to distribute music that i activate via GVA (using spotify)?

Does this mean ML sources on the Beolink NL/ML are no longer supported? Or am I misreading this?

Crap... This is a real stab in the back to those who purchased GVA Emerge/Level/Balance without knowing that would have affected - in the future - the capability to distribute in multiroom line-in and Bluetooth sources.

In the implementation that is rolling out today, you can join a ML master that is playing to a NL/ML converter.

Yes, most likely. However, please remember that GA products can still join line-in and bluetooth from other products that support distribution from line-in and bluetooth.

Does that mean, that we will have to expect new SW tomorrow or in the next days.

Any other things to watch out for there?

I hate Spotify.

Spotify makes me leave the B&O app to pick my music.

Then to expand the experience to other speakers I need to leave Spotify and go back to the B&O app.

And it's not possible to listen to two different Spotify streams at once, so if my girlfriend wants peaceful music in the bedroom while I listen to something more upbeat in the kitchen, that is out of the question.

And for those of us with Beosound Moment, we can't get Spotify on those systems at all, either directly on the device or by Multiroom linking.

If Spotify worked within the B&O app it would be much more attractive to me, the Moment issues notwithstanding.

Sources: 2x Beosound Moment • 4x Beosound Essence Mk II
Speakers: 3x Beolab 8000 • 2x Beolab 6000 • 2x Beolab 3 • 3x Beolab 2
Integrated:  1x Beosound 2 • 1x Beosound Level • 4x BeoPlay M5 • 1x BeoPlay A6
Control:  16x* Essence Remote  • 1x Beoremote Halo

* Yes, really! 🤦‍♂️

Have another question to anyone who actively uses spotifyconnect in a multi-room setup.

Let’s assume i have 5 b&o speakers and all five support spotifyconnect.

The only way to start the stream will be through the spotify app, right?

So, the use case is that i play to one speaker from the spotify app and then switch to the b&o app to extend to further speakers and change the audio level. i can also skip to the next track, pause, and end the stream. and also unjoin. i can do all of the above also directly from the speaker as long as it allows “tap to join”.

what if i have a group formed of 3 speakers formed in the b&o app. can i keep this group permanent? and then stream from spotify to any of the three speakers and it will play on all three?

And lastly, does this even work for google voice assistant? i.e., can i use the GVA to start a spotify stream on my b&o speaker (hey google, play xxx) and then use “tap to join” to add other speakers to this gva initiated spotify stream?

Thanks!!!
