I recently purchased a BLC NL/ML that I'm trying to setup but I've run into an issue
The software update will not download- I keep trying different connections to the internet but still it won't download. It is stuck on 1.3.0.0 but the later rev is available that might solve other issues. I connected the internet either with my home router or using my phone as a hotspot in case the router settings were preventing the download but no luck. Is there some setting I'm missing or is there another way to upload the software?

Same problem here in the US. I have a converter on 1.3.0.0 that needs to be updated. Did the UK dealer give you a name or phone # of the third party?
Desperately need this updated.
I'm in the same boat, with a second BLC I just got on eBay that's not on the latest software. Haven't asked my dealer about it yet, so would love to know if there's a place I can send it to directly here in the US.

Is the software update available thru the B&O service tool Mark II?
Yes , 50 Mb.
So is the service tool how an NL/ML Converter is converted into a BLGW and vise-versa?

I contacted B&O support and they stated the BLC would have to be reflashed at a repair center to update the software from 1.3.0:
The reason the software update will not download is that the internal clock in the BLC cannot be changed to the local date/time and the mismatch prevents the server from downloading the update. The 1.3.0 version doesn't have a way to update the clock. Later versions of the software do have the ability to change the clock settings. Seems like an odd issue but that was how it was explained to me. If anyone knows a way around this I'd really like to know.
With the 1.3.0 software I could get everything on the ML side to work as it should by connecting a IR receiver to the BLC. But in the conversion to NL the ML sources would only show up as available when configuring the NL product-but they didn't become selectable sources when trying to play them.
One can download a later version of the BLC, but not the latest version, on the internet.
But I do not know if possible and how to install this version. I would try the USB way though.

edit: Be Beware, it could also be BLGW software
j_lowry:that the internal clock in the BLC cannot be changed to the local date/time
Hi Carolpa, thanks for the link.
(1) The enclosing folder for that zip file suggests that it is software for the BLGW rather than the BLC NL/ML. Will this not (irreversibly?) convert it to a BLGW?
(2) Please could you describe the process for changing the local date/time in "the Webpage source". There is no option for setting date/time in the web interface of software 1.3.0.0.

I viewed and interpreted the title as BLC software. But it, looking at the file name, also could be BLGW.

This is 100% BeoLink Gateway, I uploaded it.
I also recently purchased 2 NL/ML converters. I still have to instal them and configure them. Will they automaticly update when conectted to the internet? And will I get stuck in rhe update loop and make them unusable?

So if your BLC's have this sw version then you'll be fine.
If not you can have them updated by someone who has access to a full functional Service Tool.
