Honestly I do not like this direction but I guess it pays well.

Just me, or does the Pro look pretty much exactly like the Stage?
If thats true, that part of the collaboration seems a bit odd.
Basically a stage with a crappy Android TV box built in and a few extra HDMI ports.
The HMDI ports are HDMI 2.1 though.
This quote I find particularly interesting ‘ The $399.99 Stream TV Soundbar and $999.99 Stream TV Soundbar Pro are both built by Bang & Olufsen, with the Pro model sporting a similar housing to the even more expensive Beosound Stage, but with nine drivers inside instead of 11.“
It means they have changed the internal components probably to fit the extra connections and Android stuff inside…
I am not based in USA but 999$ with savings up to 30% is a steal

It looks similar to the Stage but it is definitely not the same, looks like a scaled down version. For example, the Stage has 11 speakers while this one has only 9. I guess it has only has 2 bass drivers instead of 4.
And a much lower price, unless I'm mistaken?
This is the official news release from the B&O website.

Not many specs there either, but the Stage is different - e.g. we can connect that to a LG tv in order to use the BeoremoteOne with both and the Stage can be part of the Beolink setup.
Ok - you may call the Pro a ‘speced down’ Stage with builtin GoogleTV, I guess.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV

Something like that yeah
Yes, hence it looks like an odd decision.
Obviously it doesn't overlap directly with an actual Stage, but side by side, how many US consumers would opt for the Stage?
I know the US is not a big market for B&O, but it (having an incredibly similar product) isnt the move of a company that ever expects to have a decent US presence.

Don't get carried away with the BeoRemoteOne will control your LG TV via the Stage. Control is very basic for me, using a Sky Q box and it won't even control my external LG 4K player, either. ie. apart from volume change, it doesn't do much at all. I have to use the Sky control, mostly.
Stage needs PUC support!
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
So you can’t control HDMI-CEC devices?
