Hi all!

Long time lurker on the forum, I've really enjoyed gaining great insights from you all over the years. I'm currently considering adding a BeoSystem 3 to my setup (BL8000s in the living room, BL3500 in the study, and a BS2000 in the WC), and was curious about the DIN socket on the back of the BS2000. I know it's not a true two-way ML jack on the BS2000, but would it work with a BeoSystem 3? I've been using it for many years with a Chromecast audio and one of Steve's cables, but having it integrated through the Beo4 remote and able to play sources connected to the BeoSystem 3 would be a nice upgrade.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to Beoworld!

As you have established, the Century's AUX socket is an input only without datalink, so whatever you feed into it from the a BS3 would have to be a line level input and you'd basically just be able to select this and change the volume.

As for the line level input from the BS3, you'd probably have to take it from one of the SCARTs, and I may be wrong but I doubt that any of the BS3's digital sources would be re-transmitted over SCART.

Thanks Guy! I think I'll skip the hassle of the BeoSystem 3 and keep using Spotify connect. I'll probably survive without the ability to listen to records in the tub
