Hello everyone

I have a problem with cd and beosound 9000. Look at the video please

https://youtu.be/rlIbsw4-BhE

When I am trying to play cd it just restarts. And if before the try it was in standalone mode then after that restart it is again "tv opperated". Advuce needed. I am slightly familiar with electronics repair and can try to fix under a guidance or with advice or I need the service recommended in the New York state or neighborhood states. Thank you in advance

Hi,

you should run testmodes 71 and 73 and see what informations you will get.

Generally laser lens may be dirty however it's strange because  there should be a "pause" message before switching off.

To clean laser lens please run testmode 65 then open the cover lid, take out the mains plug and take off the silver circle, silver cover and transparent semi circle. You will have the acces to the lens which may be cleaned with alcohol and wiped gently. To be sure please also wash at least one disk with detergent or liquid soap. Then, after assembly please run testmode 73 again.

Hi again,

this is a common mistake, when you enter to a test mode SHIFT 90258 you have then to chose the disk pushing a buton next to that disk and after that enter the mode numer 71 or 73 or any other. Please keep in mind that for test mode 71 the first disk position should be empty.
