Hello All,
Bang & Olufsen have been in touch once again, and this time it's to ask BeoWorld Members about SoundBars...
It looks like a very short survey but will culminate in a direct chat with Bang & Olufsen if you're chosen. I've asked what the research was actually for, what they will do with our answers, and what good may come of it - but as usual they are being tight-lipped.
Here we go!

Well that was short
If you dont own a Sound bar, then the survey is closed to you!
So that took me approximately 20 seconds
Shortest survey ever :-)

Soundbar? I don't even own a TV
Vähintään yhdeksänkymmentä prosenttia suomalainen!
Wouldn’t it have made sense to ask questions even if you don’t own a Stage/soundbar? For example, what are your habits when it comes to consuming video? Is that why you don’t want to have a soundbar? What would change your mind?
exactly right - thats what I thought too.
These surveys seem incredibly narrowly focussed.
Wondering what the further questions were? Perhaps "if you have a sound bar, do you have any interest in adding speakers to create surround"
Which can still be a relevant question / feedback from those who dont have a sound bar.
Bit odd really.

I just tried to press yes to see,
And it is just what soundbar do you have, and why have you chosen this model.
So yes very small and narrow.

It seems that we have to get used to these simple surweys.
I wonder what ‘information’ they will draw from this.
On the other hand less input leads to much freedom for interpretation - I would not want to have to base my strategy on that.
Please ask us relevant questions!

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Millemissen: I wonder what ‘information’ they will draw from this.
They are just asking some basic questions to make a selection of people to interview. Real information will come from the interviews and not the survey.
Indeed! Agree with all of you. I wonder if this is just a task they give interns, because these recent surveys have all been of low quality. But then again, a superior must have seen these surveys, they cannot just put out whatever questions without double-checking their relevance. I don’t understand why I need to waste my time (I know, 20 seconds) on putting in my name and contact details if I have answered no to if I own a soundbar, only to then being told sorry. And like I said earlier, you MUST make sure you offer at least one freetext field where you can nuance or specify your input to their own rigid questions throughout the rest of the survey. These surveys must have a certain level of significance to B&O, otherwise why bother? If these simplistic surveys are what they base researching their future products on, then they will be in trouble. It is so little effort to get these surveys right, especially considering how much valuable insight they may gain from them.
They called me this morning. At 15.00 I will join their video interview.
Good luck with yours.
I did one a few months ago around multi room usage - its was 30 minutes, unfinished and pretty useless.

I think the interview was useful. A lot talking about what made me decide to buy the Stage. What I considered more. What I like and what I missed and what are items I wanted to mention.
What’s for me a great argument to buy the Stage is for somebody else not important.
I didn’t plan to bay a Soundbar, i planned to buy a new tv and the combination LG with Stage was the best option in my situation, because I didn’t want my stereo speakers be a part of a 5.1 setup.

I did the Multiroom interview and really liked the questions they were asking and the direction it led me to believe they are going.
