Dolby Atmos

Hi

 

is there a way of getting Dolby Atmos with my set up

 

Eclpse 1, Beosound 2, Front  Beosound 18s, rear Beosound 6000s

No!

The Eclipse hasn’t got a Dolby Atmos decoder built-in.

Apart from that - an Atmos compatiple setup would require more speakers.

Yes. But you would need more speakers and and external receiver.

Anything is possible, it is just difficult.

Did you know that you can have very good results by adding e.g. height speakers in the back and/or at the sides and letting the sound processor of the BV Eclipse do the upmixing (TrueImage processing).

Surely not ‘Dolby Atmos’ - but those who have this kind of speaker setup are very pleased with the result.

If you want the ‘real Atmos thing’, you will have to be patient. Or maybe you won’t ever get it in a pure B&O setup. Noone knows anything about the plans or if there are any at all in Struer/DK.
