Hi,

Another day another problem.

I have gone to turn on my BM5 (use it stand alone) and nothing. The red light is on at the back and does not go green. What should I check for before I spend the money for my B&O dealer to look at it (its out of warenty now as got it as returned stock)

Thanks

Toby

Did you try to disconnect your BM5 from the mains and reconnect?

What does the display show?

Is it one of the early Beomasters - the first serie? There is a known motherboard fault.

You can read about that in the archived forum. A lot of motherboards had to be replaced - mine too.

My dealer replaced it without charging me, although it was out of warranty...:)

Thanks for the reply Stephan.

The unit does not power on at all, there is nothing being displayed on the TV tried with video and the DVI. Did see tthat there was a problem with the motherboard but would you get anything being shown?

Thanks

Toby

As far as I remember my screen was just black. As said you can read about in the archived forum - just search BM5 - motherboard.

How old is your BM?

It is the older one, type 1753.

So guess it is the motherboard.
