Hi beoworld,

I have recently bought a Stage and I noticed that when the product is in standby there’s a very low continuous buzzing noise coming from around the area where the LEDs and buttons are located.

This does’t happen if the product is ON. Only when I put it in standby the buzzing starts right after the speakers shut off.

It’s very annoying because I have it in my bedroom and I can hear the noise at night while going to sleep.

I tried different mains cable and outlets around the house. Also tried both wired and wireless connection.

Is it normal or should I return it?

Thank you and Merry Christmas!

mine also have some really not noticable noise when in standby, but I have it in my living room so not really bothering me at all.

Thanks for the response. Mine is located in a small 15sqm bedroom, dead silent during nighttime. Hopefully that standby buzz it’s not a generic issue.

I’ll plan a visit to the store and probably return it if the one on display buzzes too in rstandby.

Thanks for the answers. No, the buzz starts right after I put it in standby.

If the music is MUTED there’s no noise. I can only hear the hiss from the amplifiers and that’s normal.

This might be a grounding issue with my place. But I have other BO products like Core+BL17+18+19 that don’t buzz. Even my old Beolit 12 that caught a few rains outside doesn’t complain.

I will investigate and write back here.
