Hello friends :) New to the forums and hoping for some advice!
Found a BeoSound 2000 in fantastic condition on a street corner, but a few weeks in and it's been intermittently static-y out of the R speaker.
Static sounds very similar to what you'd hear if you were scanning through empty/weak radio bands, or perhaps like the sound of a turntable at the end of a vinyl record (same quality; not as rhythmic). The intensity goes in and out (again, like a static-y radio band), and happens whether or not music is playing, and on any input (Aux, CD, et cetera). It only seems to be coming out of the R channel (L speaker works great).
I have some experience with electronics repair (vintage computers), so I'm not afraid to bust out the soldering iron, but I have no experience with audio and therefore no idea what I should be looking at resoldering/replacing.
Any hints? I very much appreciate it.
