Does anyone know how many watts a BG4002 uses in standby - when running ti is quoted at 20watts and i read that most of the circuitry is powered on all the time. So my other question is should I remove power when it's not being used or will that do more harm than good if i use it a couple of times a day?

As vinyl is only a hobby (music listening from audio files or streaming 95 or more of the time) I connected my 4002 to a connected plug that I activate when needed through my connected home. Avoids power consumption (don’t know how much, I’ll have a look maybe one time) and more importantly avoids useless use of components.

That's a good question Andrew!

As much as I remember from my high school education (electronics), powering components on is a bigger shock for them than keeping them permanently powered, Perhaps that is wrong, or just applicable in some cases - but IF it is true, then I wouldn't like to regularly switch Beogram on and off couple of times every day.

Hopefully there is someone more educated in this Forum to give a qualified PoV. Yes - thumbs up
