I recently got my hands on a gorgeous AV 9000,
however it unfortunately stopped working.
I'm having it sent to a friend so he can repair it but the question goes as follows.
can he turn on and operate the CRT without the entire sound and tape system plugged in? I would prefer if I can send only the crt tube itself and leave the rest here but im unsure if you can test the actual monitor that way?
does anyone know more about this it would help a great lot!
thanks friends!
You'll probably get more and better responses if you update the "topic" / "headline" to match your question.
I'd say the answer to that is 'No' - but it's a long, long time since I sold an AV9000 !!

But just unplug the scart and ML and see for yourselve, what happens if you start tv!
hey! thanks for the awnser!
problem is that the crt itself got busted (I'm thinking powersuply failure) so if I send it for repair if I'm able to send only the CRT or if I NEED to send everything in order for them to properly test it
