Lab 8000 cracking sound

Hi All. 

One of my lab 8000's has started making a loud intermittent cracking noise, does anyone know what the problem might be?

Hi Phil,

I had the same with my beolab8000's (mk1) connected to a Beosystem3 (mk3). Every so often I would get a 'cracking' sound out of just one of them. Almost like a static build-up releasing? Was scratching my head as to what it could be, so changed the Powerlink cable from the mk2 to a mk3 and cleaned all the contacts using electrical spray, then a factory reset the Beosystem3 and reconfigured. This seemed to do the trick, or at least there hasn't been an occurrence. 

What do you have your 8000's connected to?
