Hello,I intend to connect behind my beosound 3200 elipson planet L speakers. But apparently it would not be possible because these speakers are not active and the beosound is not an amplifier? what do you think? My concern is the following. I have a small apartment at the sea where I want to install my B&O. From a look point of view and considering the surface and the decoration the bo speakers do not suit me. (I have at home beo 8000 and 600 which on the other hand go very well). As I'm lending this apartment to friends or family I don't want a system that connects via the internet or that you have to manage via an app. I don't want to force people to load an app and on top of that to give the codes.- if i take a modern bo system i would have an app etc...- if i take the elipson system i would have an app, etc... not to mention that their media center is much less pretty than the boesound :).Thanks for your advice Quick ReplyTranslated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
If you want to use the Elipson speakers (or any passive speakers) with the BS3200 you just need to add a Beolink Passive: https://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=981
Connect it to one of the BS3200's Powerlink outputs with a Powerlink cable and it will turn on automatically with the Beosound.
Here's one for sale (not mine!): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224788910864?hash=item3456769310:g:U~AAAOSwi9hhzbfY
EDIT: I should have said that you won;'t need the IR controller as you will just be using the passive as an amplifier. Passives are also know as ML/MCL converters which carry out the same function. In this situation you could also use the older MCL2P amplifier which is similar.
ok, tks. i've seen that also. i dont need the BO eye ?
ytsack: i dont need the BO eye ?
No you don't. The amplifier just needs to get the on/off commands, which come over the powerlink cable direct from the Beosound. I have used a similar setup with my BC2300 and a passive and it worked very well.
Last question : i want to connect a phono on the beosound. can i do it ? only with jack or can i use the other ?

If you mean a record player (turntable), then yes you can connect it to the BS3200 aux socket. You will need to use a record player that has a built in pre amplifier (which most modern ones do) because the BS3200 does not have an RIAA amplifier fitted.
Depending on the model of turntable, you will be able to get the correct adaptor - try Sounds Heavenly at the link at the bottom of the page (he also supplies Powerlink cables if you need one for a Passive)
Can i use another bo passive ?
that type of preampli : https://soundsheavenly.com/beogram-record-players/12-2195-pre-amp-bundle-for-bo-beogram-and-all-turntables.html#/35-output-twin_rca_phono_plugs_stereo/41-power_supply-uk ?
even if they write is to used with another b&o type ?

Yes you could connect a second B&O passive to the BS3200's second Powerlink output, which would allow you to have a second pair of passive speakers (dual stereo)

You cannot use a B&O passive as a turntable pre-amp, if that is your question.
But if the turntable that you wish to connect does need a pre-amp then the one in the link will be fine, you just need to select the 5 Pin DIN AUX output connection.
What make/model of turntable do you want to use?
Its Wheel from Miniot (https://miniot.com/)It will be delivered soon (after 5 years). i asked them about my question and wait an answer.
Find here the spec they put on kick starter. i can see some info about RIIA.
According to this link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/865809794/wheel-by-miniot
... there is a switch that allows to to chose between phono or 'pre-amp line' signal. If you chose the latter you will be able to connect it directly to the BS3200. You would just need a connector like this: https://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/52-72-stereo-rca-twin-phono-to-beosound-aux-input-din-socket.html#/2-length-1m
