Was in same situation unfortnally the only solution was taking it to te dealer. He send de Beosound 1 back to factory and they replace the motherbord.
I had that problems occasionally. Most times I have been able to power cycle the unit and it was okay after restoring again.

liviu_o:Hi all! My BS1 is flashing rapid red and trying the reg stuff as updating, cutting power chord , etc doesn’t help. Anyone else in this situation? Any ideas beside taking it to the dealer?
My Gen 1 BS2 did this a while ago, connecting it via cable to the router when setting it up again did the trick. Give that a try.
