My dealer told me that he has got an upgraded set of 3D glasses, he will lend my one this week to see if they reduce the severe "ghosting" on my telly. Has anyone tryed this updated set of 3D glasses??
Beovision 7-55" 3D, Beosound 5, Beolab 9, Beolab 8000, Beovision 6, Beo 6, Beoremote one, H8, H2.
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
I just ordered three pairs. I'm waiting for my dealer to get them in.
BeoLab 5, BeoVision 7-55 MK2, BeoSound 5 Encore, BeoSound 9000, BeoLab Penta III, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 2, BeoLab 7-6, BeoSound 8, BeoTime (analog clock), Beo 4 remote.
BeoUndies:Chris, as was hinted below, the B&O 3D specs are made by Xpand - so knock yourself out with an Amazon multi purchase and save yourself the BnO tax! New Bang specs = new Xpand specs.... (Did anyone actually think they would manufacture their own?!!)
Tonker:I've looked at their site, so which type would I order. Beovision 10-46, Beovision 8-26, Beosound 8, Beocom 2, Beotime and a shed load of A8's and Form 2's. Oh and a load of Beo4 and a gathering dust 6.
Tonker:Thanks, seems a but if a cheek though. Beovision 10-46, Beovision 8-26, Beosound 8, Beocom 2, Beotime and a shed load of A8's and Form 2's. Oh and a load of Beo4 and a gathering dust 6.
Taking the topic off on a slightly different angle, I was totally unimpressed with 3D on the BV11. Borrowed a pair of 3D glasses from my dealer for a few days, watched a 3D movie, Sky 3D and a Premiership game or two in 3D.
Can someone tell me what 3D offers that I missed? It hurts my eyes, you need to sit in a darkened room (which rules out watching during the day or summer's evening), you need to be face on in front of the TV, Premiership football is filmed at a poor/lower angle for 3D coverage and movies offer nothing extra in 3D. It almost looks like the "film mode" we all turn off on our newly installed B&O TV!
3D reminds me of something we all think we *should* be watching as it's something that others enjoy. I couldn't see a single benefit - returned the glasses to my dealer and won't be borrowing them again soon :)
I've tried the new B&O lite glasses on a beovision 7:40 - they worked well (best at night with no lights). The model No. Is X105-IR-B2. These appear to be the same as the new 'lite' IR/RF 3d glasses manufactured by Xpand, but the model No. Is different being X105-IR-X1. Does anyone know if they are one and the same? If they are they are considerably cheaper on Amazon.com (from the USA) than the £95 B&O are asking in their UK stores.
B&O Type Number for the new style glasses is 5007. I have a few pairs of the new and a few pairs of the old.
I've noticed little or no improvement in viewing quality, but they're much lighter and much more comfortable to wear. They look like a pair of designer glasses as opposed to something you'd wear for an eye test!
