Apologise if this is daft question, but would it be possible to connect a BeoSound Moment to my Beolab 8000 speakers and is it worth the investment (tech vs cost and ofc being subjective)?
I suspect I would need a male 8 Pin Powerlink plug to male RJ45 plug for the connection so that would not be an issue as I see it's readily available...
I have the following in the line up already, Beosound 1 & 2, Stage and M3 so would a BeoSound Moment add any value other than what i have on my iPad/iPhone
Anyway, I just bought a Beocenter 3000 a few months back so I could have some use of the speakers (inherited from my late father so they have a sentimental value attached) so wondering if it was worth it in the end...

I have two set up’s based on the Beosound Core - one with Core, Beolab 11 and Beolab 6002s, and another with Core, beolab 3 and Beolab 8002. Both Cores are also connected to Eclipse remotes. The primary source for me is Apple Music with TuneIn for ambient music. I really love both set ups. I think the Moment is similar to the Core. Right? So to me, it’s worth it.

Frank2k:would it be possible to connect a BeoSound Moment to my Beolab 8000 speakers and is it worth the investment
I absolutely LOVE my Beosound Moments - I bought the second one used a few months after they were discontinued. One sits on my desk attached to a pair of Beolab 8000s so I can listen to music while I work. I LOVE that I don't have to get out my phone to control music, it's all done from the Beosound Moment Jukebox. I listen to a blend of NetRadio, Deezer playlists, and the "Pattern Play" function of the Mood wheel.
I'm somewhat bothered by the fact that the MoodWheel's inner ring no longer works. I wouldn't actually use it if it worked because I generally use the outer ring to discover new music. What really bothers me is that it means B&O really isn't going to support it in the future, and some day it will just stop working. I don't know if that will happen today, or 5 years after the announcement of discontinuation, or if it might keep working another 20 years.
If and when my Moment stops working I'll be crushed. I think it's the best interface B&O ever created. If it's within your budget to buy one, knowing that it's discontinued and could stop working at any time, I think you'll find it far nicer than using a phone to control a Core or Essence.

* Yes, really! 🤦♂️
My Beosound 5 Encore has software from 2011… So it never had any update.
But it still works. And after 10yrs of no updates it is not safe anymore, it is now on my guest network.
I think B&O Radio will always work.
