Hi,

I have an airport express connected to my BeoVision 10, AV3 port and I’ve set it up so that when I press DTV on the beo4 remote, I can airplay music to the tv. I also have a chrome cast connected through HDMI, which is set to the DVD button on the beo4 remote.

my issue is that I also have a pair of beolab 8000, connected to the tv, and would like to only listen through them when I’m in the DTV mode.. I can do this by pressing ‘LIST’ and ‘SPEAKERS’ and then select SPEAKER 2, then only the beolabs are playing, and not the center channel on the tv… is there a way for the tv to remember to only play in SPEAKER 2 mode when I’m in DTV channel - and then switch back to 3.0 (beolab + BeoVision speakers) when I’m in DVD mode

You should be able to use the AV button from the List before you push DTV/DVD (The BV must be in Option 2).

This should turn on the BV10 without picture and with Speaker 2 activated.

If you however always want to see the picture, when airplaying/casting music, your only option is choosing Speaker 2 after starting.

P.S. Both entries (from the List) can - depending on the version of the Beo4 - be moved to the first/second place, in order to avoid too many List-pushes to see AV respectively Speaker in the display

You could also - if you listen way more than watch - set the ‘Default Video output’ to Speaker 2 in the menu…..and then change to 3, when you watch something.

A more sophisticated solution could be to connect the APE to a Beolink Converter 1611/to the A.Aux there.

The converter must then be connected to the BV10 with a Mastelink cable (this could all be hidden away).

You then access the sound from the device/the APE on the 1611 as an audio device through the BV. If the ‘Default Audio output’ in the menu is kept as the standart Speaker 2, you will only hear sound from the BL8000’s with a blank screen.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
