Despite the mixed reviews, I am really enjoying my new Beosound Explore. I already own just about every other portable B&O speaker you can get, but when used for its primary purpose of an outdoor speaker I find myself returning to it over all the others. I am now thinking to go stereo, but risk getting in a lot of trouble for buying 'yet another bl***y speaker' with the other half. Has anyone done this and can convince me it's worth the pain, or point me in the direction of an online review as I cannot find one.
One thing to remember is killing the B&O app from the backround when you have made the stereo pairing. This gives you a stable connnection between any two stereo paired beoplay bluetooth speaker. If you don’t do this , audio dropouts guaranteed. Tested thoroughly with A1 and P6.

Tested it with my 2 Explores: Works. No need to have the B&O software terminated. Pair them with the B&O app choose:- sync - stereo
In stereo mode the app shows which speaker is left and right and you can switch left and right speaker easily.So you can either have stereo sound from 2 Explores or you can have "multiroom" in a small scale when you don't set them to stereo. Then they both seem to play both channels:Pressing "stereo" in the app leads to an audible change in sound and clearly differentiates the channels! Tested it with some tracks where e.g. the guitar came from the right speaker in stereo mode and from both in normal mode.
Using the volume buttons on my phone only controls ONE speaker interestingly, So you might need to change volume on both explores accordingly to have them playing the same output volume when using in stereo. Otherwise you can easily use that behaviour for balance settings between right and left channel.Please expect no wonders in terms of sound like on an A1 or A2. But as you said: It's a very nice little speaker and that's why I bought two. :-)
I used to have dropouts with my Balance paired as a stereo set. It seemed to have been resolved by splitting my mesh wireless network frequencies in two different names (upon setup 2.4 and 5 GHz were merged under one name) so that I could choose which network the speakers should connect to. Prior to that I also unplugged my entire network and let it «drain» for some time before plugging it back in again and then setting up my stereo pair. No need to close the B&O app but I had to close and reopen it when or if I couldn’t disconnect the stereo pair because of an error message.
The Explore is a pure Bluetooth speaker without Wifi. ;-) But you are right that Wifi, cordless phones and even Microwave ovens can cause dropouts.because of interferences.

True! :) I got distracted by the fact that you can do stereo with both and that they are both Mozart speakers. Apologies for not being thorough! I’d still be surprised though if you really had to close and reopen the app. If that’s the case, then it’s interesting learning.
