Hej
I am new in this forum, but have already benefit from reading different discussion :-)
I just reapired a Beocord 5500, the mechanics needed cleaning and lubrication and is now working fine (e.g. it could not fast rewind/forward before). But something has happen during my repair..., because now the display showing full signal from the second I press play. I tried to unplug P4 on borad 1 (that is the signal cables from the tone head), however I still have full signal. Also when pressing STOP together with PLAY without tape in, it give full signal. Everything else on the display is working (e.g. following track no.), so the control of the LEDs seem ok, somehow the LED driver get the full signal from somewhere....
Does anyone have an idea, what could be be wrong.
I can provide more information, if that can help

A little (important) follow-up information.
There is ok sound, when the Beocord is playing.

Hej Again
I found the problem :-)
A fine crack in the pad/trace for 1C46 (I might have pushed a little to the capacitor).
This trace carry a 8V (ref.), but on the (wrong) other side of the crack, there was 15,5V.
I find it by (almost random) checking of the voltage in the circuit diagram and knowing that crack and lifting of trace/pas are a known problem.
I have now fixed the Beocord 5500 and Beogram CD 5500 (by changing capacitors). The Beomaster 5500 still turn off (protection mode) after few minutes and the Beogram 5500 is missing the tip of the MMC4.
